His Mother Frances was very generous to her children. She was a widow and had an inheritance from her first husband.

The Brack family was very proud of William when her graduated for the University in 1911. There were very few men in their neighborhood that even graduated from high school.

He was educated in English as well as 4 different Slavic languages.

With his knowledge in languages, he soon became a leader in the immigrant community.
He was a building contractor, and owned Bracks Market on Park Street.

When his Mothers health began to fail and she was no longer able to care for her home, William built a little cottage for them behind his home.

Sister Josephine took care of their personal needs, William their financial needs.

Now, Mother (Frances) inheritance was gone and Joseph worked only sporadically. He was short, small boned, thin, and physically unable to do manual labor. And, he had little knowledge of Enlish language.
