H.G. (Fred) Gantz, 62, native of Alsace-Lorraine, and a Pampa resident since 1916, died at 3 a.m. today at his home, 306 N. Somerville. Death was due to a heart attack.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Christian church, conducted by the Rev. S.D. McLean, pastor. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.
Mr. Gantz was born May 25, 1881. He came to Pampa 28 years ago from Duncan, Okla.
Survivors are the widow, of Pampa, who is a sister of C.L. (Charlie) Thomas, Pampa wheat grower and member of the state AAA committee; two daughters, Mrs. Josephine Stuebgen and Mrs. Madeline Garrett, both of Pampa.
Three sons, Shelby and Herman, both of Pampa, and the Rev. Hallie Gantz, pastor of the First Christian church of Lubbock; two brothers, George and Will, both of Durham, Okla.; sister, Mrs. Herman Schaffer, Omaha, Neb.; a half-sister, Mrs. George Lutz, Berryton, Kans.
Arrangements are by Duenkel-Carmichael Funeral home.
