Mrs. Goodson Passes Away.
Sophia A. Vanhoozer was born October 11, 1855 and departed this life March 2, 1923 at the age of 67 years, 4 months, and 10 days. She was married to Thomas C. Goodson February 1, 1874. To this union eight children were born.
The husband and two children preceded her in death. She is survived by four daughters and two sons, Mrs. Kelly Bowman, Mrs. Dora Baker, Mrs. Stella Thevenot, Mrs. Minnie House, William and Luther E. Goodson. Funeral services were held at Shafer Ridge church in charge of Rev. John M. McIntosh and the remains were laid to rest in the Shafer cemetery.
