Born Aug. 20, 1911, in Point Marion, she was a daughter of the late Vin and Etta Ridgway DeGardeyn.
She was a 1929 graduate of Point Marion High School.
Eleanora was a member of the Point Marion United Methodist Church, the Golden Pointers Senior Citizens, and a former member of the Magdalena Rebekah Lodge in Point Marion.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harold Dean Robbins on Nov. 13, 1969; two children in infancy; brothers Vincent DeGardeyn and Abe DeGardeyn; and sisters, Chloa Costello, Freda DeGardeyn and Annamay DeGardyen.
Surviving her are two nephews, Keith DeGardeyn and his wife Margaret, of Cleveland, Ohio, and Pat Costello of Ewing, New Jersey, and several cousins, including those who shared in her caregiving for the last several years, John and Dolores DeGardeyn of Point Marion, and Robert and Jane Ridgway of Morgantown.
Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday until 2:00 p.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. James D. Lewis officiating. Interment follows in Wolf's Cemetery, Dilliner, Pa.
