Mrs. Lillian Stewart, 85, of 1701 12th St SE., Puyallup, widow of Dr. Albert Cross Stewart, who was a prominent area physician, died Monday.

She was born in Vally View, Texas, and had been a Puyallup resident since 1921.

She was a Presbyterian and a member of the Tacoma Lawn Tennis Club, Pierce County Medical Auxiliary and the Linden Golf and Country Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Scott (Laurienne) Minnich of Puyallup, a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Mellinger of Tacoma, and three grandchildren and a great grandchild.

Hill Funeral Home, Puyallup, is in charge.
