Mary Patricia Reilly, was born to James Joseph Reilly and his loving wife, Margaret Mary (nee Ennis) Reilly, on October 2, 1907, in Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska. Mary Patricia was the twin sister of Margaret Anne Reilly.

Mary Patricia grew up in a large Irish family of 10. She was sister to seven siblings: James Thomas; her twin sister, Margaret; sisters Agnes, Catherine, and Francis; and brothers Leo "John" Henry; and Daniel.

Mary was schooled in Omaha, and went to work as a telephone operator, in Omaha, following her father's death in 1925. Mary remained in Omaha, until her mother died in March of 1936. Mary had never married, and had resided with her widowed mother at the family home located at 3104 Valley Street, until her mother's death.

Shortly thereafter, Mary relocated to California and reunited with her sisters: Margaret, Agnes, and Frances. Mary transferred her job from the telephone company in Omaha, to the company's San Francisco, California office. She found a comfortable apartment in the City by the Bay. Mary loved the City, and enjoyed riding her bicycle, with friends, in Golden Gate Park, and visiting family and friends, when not at work.

One day, while out riding her bike in Golden Gate Park, she fell from her bike, injuring her back. Unfortunately, Mary's health began to decline soon afterwards. She became quite ill, and was diagnosed with cancer. Mary died on the 12 of August 1946, at the age of 38. Her twin sister, Margaret, accompanied Mary's body back to Omaha, Nebraska, by train, for burial in the family plot at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Church services were held at St. Patrick Church, the same church her father had been buried from some 21 years earlier, and her mother, just 10 years earlier. Mary's remains were laid to rest in Grave #4, Lot 18; Block 24; Section O, on August 20th, 1946.

"Merciful Jesus, grant her eternal rest."
"My Jesus Mercy."
"Sweet Heart of Jesus, be my love."
"Sweet Heart of Mary, be my salvation."
