FUNERAL HELD TODAY FO MR. OLSON Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 21, at the Assemblies of God church in Detroit Lakes for George C. Olson, who died Feb. 19, at St. Mary's hospital. Mr. Olson was 81 years old at the time of his death. He was born Nov. 1, 1880 at Hawley, Minn., and had lived for the past 40 years in the Pelican Lake area and Detroit Lakes. He was a retired farmer. The Rev. Claude Bratvold conducted the services and Mr. and Mrs. Bratvold sang a duet. Gladys Broberg was organist. Pallbears include Emil and Ernest Nelson, Richard and Reuben Peterson, Alfred Johnson and John Swanson. Internment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery. West Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Olson is survived by his wife, Allie; three sons, Walter, Ernie and Douglas, St. Paul and five daughters, Mrs Calmer (Gladys) Skogen, Audubon; Mrs. Melvin (Violet) Berg, Pelican Rapids; Mrs. Harvay (Ruth) Thomas, Des Moines, IA; Mrs. Orval (Bernies) Stockstad, Macomb, Ill. and Mrs. Howard (Ruby) Hulet, Anoka. There also are 27 grandchildren surviving.
