Viola I. Schaffer, 88, of Allentown, died Oct. 11 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of the late Herbert M. Schaffer.
She was a waitress for the former Lehigh Valley Club, Allentown, for 30 years before retiring in 1980.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Ifkowitz and Cecelia(Gilly)Ifkowitz.
She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Allentown.
She was a former member of Order of the Eastern Star, Allentown.
Survivors: Sons, Larry H. of Emmaus, Gerald L. of Allentown; daughter, Nancy T. Miller of Hackettstown, N.J.; twin sister, Irene V. Hacker of Allentown; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephew.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the church. No calling hours. Arrangements, Stephens Funeral Home, Allentown.
