Jacqueline "Jacki" R. Bertschinger, age 55, of Amboy, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, at the Franklin Grove Health Center.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, at 2 p.m., in the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy with the Rev. Vicki Sauter, Pastor of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Amboy, officiating. Burial followed in Prairie Repose Cemetery in Amboy. Visitation was held on Monday from 12 p.m., until time of service in the funeral home.
Mrs. Bertschinger was born in Marinette, Wis., Jan. 12, 1953, the daughter of Elroy and Flora (Feske) Brabender. She married James M. Bertschinger in Pestigo, Wis., Oct. 27, 1973. He preceded her in death July 14, 2004.
Survivors include one son, Andrew James Bertschinger of Bartlett; one daughter, Elizabeth Emily Bertschinger of Bartlett; five sisters, Jackie (Hector) Sanchez of Woodridge, Barbara (Hilbert) Seefeldt of Lena, Wis., Connie (Stanley) Ostrenga of Wallace, Mich., Susan (Royce) Squier of Menominee, Mich., and Marlene Fellner of Appleton, Wis.; one brother, Elroy (Ann) Brabender Jr. of Laughlin, Neb.; many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
She had worked for Motorola in Harvard, for 20 years.
