Ervin K. Shipman
Services for Ervin K. Shipman, 78, 2505 W. State st., who died Sunday, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Julian-Pooerman funeral home, 304 N. 5th st., with the Rev. Gerald Boyer, pastor of Rockford Gospel Tabernacle, officiating.
Friends may call in the funeral home from 7:30 to 8:30 o'clock Wednesday night. Burial will be in Willwood burial park.
Mr. Shipman had been an inspector for Mechanics Universal Joint division, Borg-Warner corporation, for 25 years.
Mr. Shipman was born April 10, 1878, in New Milford, the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Shipman. He lived most of his life in Rockford. He married the former Effie May Kennedy in Cherry Valley.
Surviving are a son, Roy M., Rockford; a daughter, Mrs. Burr Robinson, Fresno, Cal.; Three grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Blanche McKee, Rockford.
