Mary L. Jacobs, 77, formerly of 3502 S. Adams St., died at 9:50 p.m. Saturday in Markle Health Care Center, where she was residing.

She was born in Marion, the daughter of Walter and Theresa (McIntosh) Weesner. She married William G. Jacobs on Nov. 12, 1945, in Marion, and he preceded her in death June 5, 1999.

Mrs. Jacobs retired, after 23 years, as an inspector in the white room at the former RCA in Marion. She was a member of Marion First Friends Church, where she belonged to the Friendship Sunday School Class and the Women's Missionary Society. She also was a member of the RCA Sympathy Club.

Survivors include three sons, William "Bill" (Darlene) Jacobs, Marion, Jon (Beth) Jacobs, Noblesville, and mark (Christie) Jacobs, Wabash; three daughters, Janet (Dick) Bragg, Marion, Jane Ann O'Brien, Troy, Ohio, and Janelle (Chris) Love, Huntington; a sister, Irene Charles, Midland, Mich.; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by five brothers, Walter "Bud" Jr., Harold, Everett, Lowell and Russell Weesner; an infant sister; and a grandson, Steven Painter.

Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday in First Friends Church, 2211 N. Wabash Road, with the Revs. Stanley Banker and George Taylor officiating. Burial is in Grant Memorial Park cemetery.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington, and from 9 a.m. until services Wednesday at the church.
