Sarah A. Walter.
Sarah A. Walter, wife of Thomas Walter, was born about the year 1835, and died April 18, 1918, being about 63 years old. She was born in Casey county, Kentucky, and came to Missouri with her parents when quite young. She united with the Mt. Salem Baptist church in her young days and lived a devoted Christian life until her death.
She had been in failing health for about fifteen years and was bedfast most of the time, but she bore her suffering with patience and expressed a willingness and a desire to go.
She leaves to mourn her death three children, namely Mrs. G. W. Lucas, Joe E. Teter and Mrs. G. A. Walter, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, two brothers and one sister.
She was buried at Mt. Salem cemetery April 20, funeral services were held at 4 o'clock Saturday at Mt. Salem, conducted by Rev. W. R. Skinner, of Macon.
