Warren went to work for Best Way Market for a couple of years, then operated Red Top Station and later operated Oasis Truck Stop. After a brief retirement, they purchased and operated Linggs Texaco. He was a member of American Legion and had served on the Canadian City Council for 10 years.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Lonnie Wayne Lingg.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Lingg; two daughters, Teresa Annette Lingg and Ellen Irene "Lingg" Wainwright and son-in-law Roger Wainwright. One sister, Betty C. Plymesser. five grandchildren, Willie Chris Briggs, Kirk Bryan Briggs, Kenswell "Kody" Dewey, Misty Mechelle Wainwright,and Kimberly Dale "Wainwright" Morrison, husband Darrell. seven great-grandchildren; Miranda Ashlee and Halee Alexis Briggs, Camille E Morrison and Myles J Morrison(adopted), Audrey Ellen and Allie Clara Carter; one great-great-grandchild, Haylen Joe Stringfellow
