Son of Patrick Lombard (1830 - ) and Katherine Driscoll
Born in Ireland, he emigrated to the US in Apr 1880 with sisters, Ellen and Margaret. They arrived at the port of Boston, and settled in Keene, New Hampshire. He declared his intention to become a US citizen in 1906 and then, after waiting the required 5 years, returned to court in 1911 with a petition for Naturalization. Unable to write, he signed his petition for naturalization with an "X." Because of this lack of literacy, his petition was denied by a judge of the Superior Court in Keene.
He married Hannah Donovan on 10 Feb 1881 in Keene, Cheshire, New Hampshire. They had 11 children, 6 of whom died young:
. Kate Lombard (1882 - 1962)
+ sp: George Henry Comstock
. Ellen Lombard (1883 -
