Born in 62 Ross st. in Welland. Spent two years as a child in England with his sister Kay and parents Thomas and Amy. Later lived in Toronto where he and his father saw the first ever hockey game at Maple Leaf Gardens in 1931. He later lived in Hamilton working in a bank. Served in the RCAF at Nottingham Forest during World War 2. Following the war he worked in several businesses including International Harvester. In the 1960`s he raised two foster children Rachel and Kevin. Rachel married in 1964 and Kevin was adopted in 1968. He was manager of Beamsville Florists and later owned Cope Variety in Hamilton. Retired in 1984 and lived near Ainslie`s Wood untill his death of cancer at age 75.
