Army Sgt. Nutt was assigned to 494th Transportation Co., based at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. His unit was responsible for transporting soldiers and equipment. He was killed when an Iraqi civilian vehicle cut his loaded 5-ton truck off on the road. Nutt swerved, hit the median and his vehicle overturned. David is remembered as a gentle, very caring person; just a good man. A strong soldier who never complained about anything. He was buried in the cemetery at the church where he and his wife were married.
