Helen Rose Barker, 85 of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, September 16, 2012 at the Family Care Center in Kingston. She was born on August 6, 1927 in Crumpler, North Carolina to the late A. L. Absher and Buelah Little Absher. Helen was raised in Crumpler where she graduated High School. Helen married William (Jack) Worth Barker in North Carolina. He preceded her in death. She worked as a housewife most of her life and later worked as a waitress. Helen moved to the Kingston area about a year ago where she lived the rest of her life. She was a wonderful babysitter, her grandchildren were her life, loved flowers and quilting. She is survived by: Son: David Barker and wife Clarasa, Madill, Oklahoma Grandchildren: Chene Hartman, Kannapolis, North Carolina Travis Barker, Kingston, Oklahoma Christian Ann Clemens, Lone Grove, Oklahoma Gene Barker, Durant, Oklahoma Candie Ponczka, Hunterville, North Carolina David Barker II, Texarkana, Texas 8 Great Grandchildren 2 Great Great Grandchildren Sister: Lucille Phipps, Crumpler, North Carolina Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters; Wilma and Doris and 3 brothers; Clarence, Mickey and Sidney.
