John D. Callaway, 65, of Marshallton, died yesterday after a long illness.

Born at Cambridge, Md., Mr. Callaway had lived in Delaware most of his life. He served in the Navy for several years.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Blanche Keith Callaway of New Castle; six sons, John S. and George Callaway of Marshallton Heights, George, Howard and Frank, of of New Castle, and Herbert Callaway of Wilmington; four daughters, Mrs. Lillian DeLong and Mrs. Florence Bush, both of this city, Mrs. Oran Leach of Oregon and Mrs. Mildred Tamone of Stanton, also a number of grandchildren, and five sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at the home of his son, John, Prospect and Beech streets, Marshalltow Heights. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call tomorrow night at the funeral home.

Callaway, Prospect and Beech Street, Marshallton Heights, Marshallton, on Friday afternoon, June 9, at 2:30 o'clock (daylight saving time). Interment at Riverview Cemetery.
