James A Miller, who was a kind, loving, gentle and devoted husband, father and papa, passed away Friday, August, 31, 2012 peacefully in the arms of his beloved wife, Judy, after a six year battle with cancer. Happily married for 32 years, he was the proud father of 5 beautiful daughters and one son. He loved camping, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed collecting pocket knives, music and the simple things in life. Born in Vian, Oklahoma on May 31, 1941, Mr. Miller was the son of the late Steins Albert Miller and the late Ruby Patterson Miller Anderson. Mr. Miller retired from the shipping dept. of Scovill Fasteners, Inc. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Glenda Miller and his precious mother-in-law Nancy Johnston. Survivors include his beloved wife Judy, daughter Fawn and son-in-law Brandon Lizama, daughter Tyger Miller and fiance Ben Whidden, daughter Teddy Miller, daughter Joey and son-in-law Taylor Smith and daughter Morgan Miller, son Justin James Miller Chester and wife Amy, his 5 precious grandchildren who brought so much joy to his life, Madison, Carter, Landon, Jayden and Brantley and his devoted Maltese, Moses. Survivors also include his loving father-in-law Richard Johnston, very special cousin, Reeves McCray and his wife Martha, "adopted" daughter, Kristy Chastain Pulido, brothers, Jimmy Miller, Johnny Miller and sister Shirley Swiderski, sister and brother in-laws, Karen and Jim Stephens, Gary and Jann Johnston,Richard and Ella Johnston and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for James A Miller, age 68, of Clayton will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, September 08, 2012 from the Hillside Memorial Chapel, Clarkesville, Georgia.
