Aldora May Tune was born on April 5, 1921 to William A. and Jennie (Foster) Sellars in Montier, MO. She passed away on July 5, 2018 at the age of 97 at Mountain View Healthcare in Mountain View, MO.
May married Melvin "Pete" Nicholson in April of 1940. To this union three daughters were born, Dorothy, Dixie and Marilyn.
May spent her early years in Stewartsville, MO. Her family moved back to the Montier area when she was 16 years old. She spent the rest of her life in and around Montier, farming and owning three different general stores in Montier. Her hobbies in her later years were quilting and hand sewing.
May married Mel Tune in 1970. To this union one daughter, Mary Christine was born.
May was preceded in death by her parents, husband Melvin, infant daughter Marilyn, daughter Mary Christine, grandson Greg Neftzger, son-in-laws Ed Wilbanks and Henry Neftzger, one sister and two brothers.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Wilbanks of Springfield, MO, Dixie Neftzger of Pryor, Ok; grandsons, Mark Neftzger of Dallas, TX, Todd (Angela) Neftzger of Owasso, OK, Jason Wilbanks of Springfield, MO; granddaughter-in-law, Julia Neftzger; great-grandchildren, Korben Neftzger and Gretchen Neftzger of Pryor, OK; brother, Elmer Sellars of Mesa, AZ and a host of nieces and nephews, the Tune families, and extended family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 9, 2018 at Yarber Mortuary in Mountain View. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to services. Interment will take place in Montier Cemetery, Montier, MO. Memorials may be made to Montier Cemetery
