Born March 13th, 1943, in Sharpsburg, PA, she was the daughter of Peter and Mary Babusci Scialabba. In 1966 in Maryland, she married Edward P. Borko, who preceded her in death on January 3rd, 2004.
Mrs. Borko was a long-time resident of Conway, SC, where she was a member of St. James Catholic Church. She also was a realtor in Pittsburgh, PA for many years.
Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Peaco and her husband Wayne of Pittsburgh, PA; four sons, Peter A. Borko and his wife Charlotte of Nokesville; Daniel E. Borko of Anchorage, AL; Andrew C. Borko and his wife Beth of London, England; Bruce C. Borko and his wife Leslie of Manassas; two sisters, Esther Brescia and her husband Randy of Pittsburgh, PA; Marilyn Hespenheide. and her husband Cliff of South Carolina; two brothers, Nick Scialabba and his wife Marge of South Carolina; David Shell of North Carolina; and 12 grandchildren.
At Mrs. Borko's request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. A private memorial service will be held at a later date in Pittsburgh, PA. Memorial contributions may take the form of a donation to Capital Hospice, 10530 Linden Lake Plaza, Suite 200, Manassas, VA 20109, or to American Cancer Society, 124 Park Street SE, Vienna, VA 22180.
