Her health did not allow her to have children. This was the reason she and Milton decided to found and endow the Milton Hershey School. This school is the largest tuition-free K-12 private school in the US. It accepts boys and girls from broken families and gives them a world-class education. Since its founding over 100 years ago it has changed the lives of thousands of needy children.
