Margaret I. Spurrier, 99, Chanute, died Thursday, March 6, 2003, at the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center.
She was born April 12, 1903, in Humboldt, the daughter of Clement and Katie Kissel Baker.
She was a homemaker and a lifetime area resident.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Chanute.
She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and flowers.
On Feb. 10, 1925, she married Cecil Spurrier in Humboldt. He died Nov. 13, 1988.
Survivors include two sons, Don Spurrier and Howard Spurrier, both of Chanute; two daughters, Evelyn Uthmann and Alta Spurrier, both of Chanute; a sister, Catherine Snodgrass, Emporia; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Melvin "Mellie" Baker, Guy Baker, George Baker and Lonnie Baker, and three sisters, Ida Keller, Pearl Lassman and Maude Miles.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, at the funeral home led by the Rev. Larry E. Myers. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Chanute.
