RED LODGE, MT. ----- Emma A. Imel, 85, died Monday morning in Carbon County Memorial Nursing Home, after a long illness.
She was born June 6, 1891 in WaKeeney , KS., the daughter of Henry and Laura Wagner.
She attended school in Ottumwa, IA.
She was employed there at a cigar factory.
The family came to Montana in 1913, homesteading north of Ingomar, MT.
In 1916, she married James B. Imel in Forsyth.
In 1918 they returned they returned to Iowa and in 1932, moved to Ingomar, MT., area.
Her husband died in 1948 and in 1949, she moved to Mullan, ID., working as a cook for several years.
She later lived in Billings, MT., and in 1972, moved o Red Lodge, MT.
Mrs. Imel was a member of Faith Evangelical Church of Billings.
Survivors include a son, James E. of Billings, MT., a daughter Mrs. Beth Prinkki of Roberts, MT., a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Mullins of Palo Alto, CA., six grandchildren,, four step grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Olcott Funeral Home Chapel in Red Lodge, MT., the Rev. George E. Petersen of Faith Evangelical Church officiating.
Grave side services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the Forsyth Cemetery, Forsyth, MT.
