Virginia M. (Wagner) Grunewald, 83, of Sheboygan, passed away January 25, 2010 at St. Nicholas Hospital surrounded by loved ones.
She was born on January 5, 1927 in Appleton, WI, the daughter of the late Mathilda (Hanson) Wagner and Clarence Wagner. She attended and graduated Sheboygan schools.
She was married to the late Edward Pecnik on December 30, 1944 residing in Sheboygan. She was an employee of Wigwam Mills.
On May 21, 1966, Virginia married Gerald M. Grunewald who preceded her in death on January, 20, 2003, living the "farm life" outside of Millhome.
She was a faithful member of the Bethel United Church of Christ in Ada until Gerald's passing. She then moved back to Sheboygan to be closer to family and joined the church she grew up in, St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Virginia's love and compassion will be the memory carried in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. Her innocent spirit has always left us with laughter. She loved being a part of the Agape and "XYZ" organizations of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and listening to the music of Daniel O'Donnell.
Virginia is survived by one daughter, Mary Ann (Grunewald) Thomas of Sheboygan; three stepchildren, Lora (Grunewald) Stover of Sheboygan, Linda Grunewald of Sheboygan and Gerald (Shelly) Grunewald, Jr. of Tularosa, NM; one grandchild,; ten step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Wagner of Rhinelander; brothers- and sisters in-law, Gloria Hunt of Kenosha, Glenn Grunewald of Sheboygan, Bernice (James) Betzold of Fordland, MO.
