Betty Nell Porter, age 92, of Solomons, Maryland died peacefully on Monday, August 15 at Asbury Health Center. She was the daughter of Raymond and Myrtle Bittinger of Mountain Lake Park, Maryland. She is survived by her sons David (Nancy) Porter of Prince Frederick and John (Marian) Porter of Severna Park, four grandchildren; Brian Porter, William Porter, James Porter and Sharon Drummond and four great-grandchildren; Harrison Porter, Brayden Porter, Ellie Porter and Cara Porter. Betty was predeceased by her husband of 58 Years, Prentiss Porter and her second husband, Henry Dodson. She was also predeceased by her siblings Harland Bittinger, Delbert Bittinger, Helen Gray and Ruth Weimer. Before failing health, Betty was active at Trinity United Methodist Church and in the Chesapeake Garden Club.
