BOONEVILLE ‑ Guy James Nichols, 89, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000, at the Beverly Healthcare Center in Tupelo. He was the son of the late Albert and Dora Underwood Nichols.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Mildred Nichols, on Sept 19. 1995. He was a member of the Church of Christ, and a retired farmer and factory worker.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Salts Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Zions Rest Cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters; Ann McFadden of McCrory, Ark., Joyce Young of Forrest City Ark., and Barbara Sue Hutchens of Booneville; eight sons, Johnnie Nichols, Rickey Nichols, Albert Nichols, Nicky Nichols and Edwin Nichols, all of Booneville, Mac Nichols of Tunica, Billy Nichols of Wynne, Ark.. and Guy Nichols Jr. of Rex, Ga., three sisters, Inez Riggs of Tupelo, Lola Jean Magers, of Mantachie and Ailene Cox of Booneville; one brother, Caspar Clyde Nichols of Booneville: 23 grandchildren; 30 great‑grandchildren; three great‑great‑grandchildren.
