Leo Proulx, 47, of Sodus, a resident of Tupper Lake most of his life, died about 8 a. m. today at Mercy General Hospital after a brief illness. He had arrived with his wife Saturday night for a week's hunting, and killed a buck Sunday afternoon. Unable to get the deer put then, he left it in the woods planning to return for i t but Sunday night be suffered a heart attack. He was admitted to the Tupper hospital Tuesday afternoon. The body will be shipped to the Donald W. Young Funeral Home at Williamson, N. Y. Funeral services and interment will be at Sodus. He was born in Tupper Lake March 6. 1913. the son of Ephrem and Clarina LaFave Proulx, and attended Holy Ghost Academy here. In 1949 be married Miss Emma Potwine at Philadelphia, Pa. They made their home In Marion for several years before moving to Sodus. where he operated a restaurant business. Surviving, besides his-wife, are four sisters: Mrs. John (Dorothy) Redinger of Holley; Mrs. Manuel (Ella) Rodrigues. New York City; Mrs. Lucille Brady. New York city; Mrs, Joan Peppino. Tupper Lake; five brothers Homer Proulx, Poughkeepsie; Randolph and Robert Proulx of Philadelphia, Pa and Raymond and Rolland Proulx, Tupper Lake.
