The following was taken from his obituary published in the Prairie du Chien, WI. newspaper in November 1956.


Services for Lt. Col. Clarence Morris McCoy, 37, of Oklahoma City were held on Friday, November 23, 1956. He was the husband of the former Mary Norine Fagan, the daughter of Arthur and Dora Fagan of Bridgeport, Grant County, WI.

Clarence was an engineering professor at the University of Oklahoma and the services were held at the Catholic Chapel near the campus. He passed away November 20, 1956 in Oklahoma City Veterans hospital after a short illness.

Clarence was born February 11, 1919 in Fort Worth to Clarence P. and Ruth (Smith) McCoy. He entered the Airforce in 1941 and retired because of illness in 1954.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, Joe and Pat, his mother Ruth McCoy and a sister June (George) Battles.
