Annie Mae Brumbelow, 83, of Dalton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Friday morning, Feb. 17, 2012, at her home.

Annie Mae was born April 24, 1928, in Tifton, a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Gussie Crider Henderson. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, the Rev. Walter Frank Brumbelow, in 1998; a son, Paul Brumbelow; her brothers, George, John and Otis Henderson; her sisters, Nora Lee Freeman, Pearl Brewer and Pauline Brewer.

She was a member of Rock of Ages Church of Faith.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy Young, JoAnn and Jimmy Kennedy, Jane and Lloyd Wilson, Lila and Ronnie Wilson, all of Dalton; sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Edith Brumbelow of LaFayette, John Walter and Barbara Brumbelow of Dalton; sisters, Minnie Ruth Quarles of Cleveland, Tenn., Ethel Williamson of Rocky Face, Millie Jean Boyd of Dalton; grandchildren, Jessie and Vickie Roberts, Leonard and Lara Brumbelow, Rod and Chris Young, Anthony and Tracy Young, D.F. and Lela Wilson, Lloyd Wilson Jr., Frank and Carla Wilson, David Hall, John and Stacey Brumbelow, James Elrod, Christena Elrod, Amanda Brumbelow, Cody Brumbelow and Ronnie Wilson Jr.; 24 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Annie Mae Brumbelow will be Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Stewart, the Rev. D.F. Wilson and the Rev. Junior Williams officiating.

She will be laid to rest at Whitfield Memorial Gardens with her grandsons and great-grandsons serving as pallbearers.
