Funeral services for J. D. Boyd, 17 of Alief, will be held at 4 p.m. today at the McDaniel-Noland Funeral Home, with Rev. E. N. Richey officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Young Boyd died at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday in a McDaniel-Noland ambulance while being rushed to St. Joseph's Infirmary after being thrown halfway through the rear side window of an automobile in a motorcycle-automobile collision at Yale and Center.
Surviving is his mother, Mrs. Erna Boyd of Alief; father, Jim Boyd of Abilene; two sisters, Betty Lois and Adeline Boyd of Alief; four brothers, Clarence, Chester, Jack and Odell Boyd of Alief.
