Mr. Malone was born in San Augustine. He lived in Huntington where he was a deacon of the Pilgrim Baptist Church for over 50 years. He served as the church treasurer for many years. He was a retired farmer.
Mr. Malone's wife, Lusinda Davis Malone, and two daughters preceded him in death.
Survivors: sister-in-law, Mrs. Abbie Malone Sweats; brother-in-law, Elijah Marshall; sons and daughters-in-law, Cullen and Stella Malone, Smith Malone, Jr. and Rosetta Malone; Cecil and Georgia Malone, Lonnie and Evelyn Johnson; daughter and sons-in-law, Blanch and Hale Hawkins, Helen and Norman Barlow, Verda and Eddie Logan, Elsie and Tommy Dennis, Clara and McKinley Jackson; 26 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
