DOYLINE, LA - Funeral services for Albert L. Booth will be held Sunday March 14, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at West Lake Baptist Church in Doyline. Officiating will be Rev. Eddie Sowders. Interment will follow at West Lake Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Saturday March 13, 2010 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Albert was born August 20, 1934 in Shreveport and entered into rest March 11, 2010 in Bossier City. He retired from the United States Navy with 26 years of service in 1980. Albert served as a deacon at West Lake Baptist Church for many years and played music and sang with the Old Time Gospel Singers. His faith and his love for family and friends were evident throughout his life. He leaves behind a lifetime of treasured memories for everyone who knew and loved him.
His parents Fred and Florence Booth, and sister Christine Reeve preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 56 ½ years Betty Fritz Booth of Doyline, sons Danny A. Booth of Doyline, Dennis R. Booth of Doyline, daughter Denise Booth McDivitt of Independence, Mississippi, sister Dixie Coyle, brothers Raymond Booth, Jack Booth, Joe Booth, and Jimmy Booth, grandchildren Jonathon Booth, Barry McDivitt, Michelle McDivitt, and Jake McDivitt, great grandchildren Mattilynn, Aubyn, and Jon Michael McDivitt.
Pallbearers will be Jonathon Booth, Barry McDivitt, Jeffrey Booth, Ricky Reeve, Jr., Garry Coyle, and Paul Fritz.
Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of West Lake Baptist Church.
