Jerome F. Long, 72, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the Hanover Hall Nursing Home.
Born Nov 13, 1922, in Oxford Township, he was the son of the late Peter and Annie Lawrence Long.
He was a member of St Joseph Church in Hanover. He was retired from Penn Village Restaurant and was also a plasterer for many years. He was a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by one sister, Florence Smith of Hanover, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday at Hicks Funeral Home in McSherrystown at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St Joseph Catholic church at 10 a.m with the Rev. Curtis Delano officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Edgewood.
Friends may call Thursday evening at the funeral home, with prayers to be recited at 8 p.m.
