MRS. GERTRUDE M. ALLEN, 82, formerly of 403 Albert Avenue, died at 11:10 p.m. Friday, September 20, 1963, in the Cherry Valley Nursing Home after a short illness.
Born May 8, 1881, in Wahoo, Nebraska, daughter of Cassius and Mary Frye.
Lived 53 years in Rockford, coming here from South Bend, Indiana.
Married to Frank C. Allen in Albion, Michigan on May 31, 1900.
Survivors include two sons, Alfred and Glenn, both of Rockford; one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Dorr, Rockford; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Houes, Villa Park, and Mrs. Julia Bigford, Jackson, Michigan; several grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, in Sundberg Funeral Home, 215 N. 6th Street, with the Rev. Joseph Conrad, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, officiating.
Burial in Arlington Memorial Park, Rockford, IL.
