MRS. HARRIET TOWLE DIES
Mrs. Harriet H. Towle, mother of Fred and George Towle, died at the home of Fred Towle in Wakefield on Sunday morning or Saturday night of old age, she being 86 years old and in failing health for several months, having been practically bedfast recently. Her death was not known until Sunday morning when her breakfast was being prepared for her.
Harriet H. Moulton was born April 22, 1834 near Unity, Maine, growing to womanhood in that neighborhood. She taught school for awhile and was married to Jeremiah H. Towle May 1, 1855. In 1868, they with two children, moved to Kansas and homesteaded on the place where George Towle now lives.
She departed this life Dec. 4, 1921 at the age of 87 years, 7 months and 12 days. She is survived by two sons George A. and Fred E. Towle besides twelve grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A short funeral service was conducted by Rev. J.L. Mitchell, Methodist pastor, in the Wakefield cemetery where the body was laid to rest at 2 p.m. December 5th,
