Home of Daughter
Mrs. Mary Ellen Bennett, 70.
died at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Mabel Towles of Cairo, where she had lived since 1943. Her home before that time was in Macon. death was caused by Heart attack.
Besides the daughter in Cairo, she is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. Otis james, Waterloo, Ia., and Mrs. Lewis Gooch, Spokane, Wash.; a son Ralph Bennett, cario; several grandchildren; two brothers John Hayes, davenport, Ia., and George Hayes, Spokane; and two sisters Mrs. Florence Gideon, Ventura, calif., and Mrs. Norbert davis, Ottumwa, Ia.,
Her husband , Otto Bennett, died in 1932, and another daughter, Mrs Lawrence Means of Macon, died in 1936.
Mrs. Gooch is ill of influenza and will be unable to attend her mother;s funeral.
The body is in the Stephens-Gooding funeral Home in Macon, were services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon. burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Macon.
Mrs. Bennett was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Macon.

funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ellen Bennett who died yesterday morning at the home of her daughter Mrs. Mabel Towels in Cairo, will be held at 1:30 o'clock, Saturday afternoon, at the Stephens and Goodding Funeral Home, under the direction of
Father P.J. Gilfillan.
The body will lie in state at the Funeral Home from 11 o'clock Saturday morning until the hour of services.
