-- Mary E. McGee, 85, of Lincoln died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, at the Christian Village.
Her funeral was scheduled for noon Tuesday at Bennett Funeral Home, with Father Thomas Shaw officiating and visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Mrs. McGee was employed by the Illinois secretary of state for several years in addition to being a private duty nurse.
She was born Sept. 25, 1919, in Lincoln to Michael and Manda Zupan Verban. She married Clyde McGee in Lincoln on Nov. 6, 1948. He died March 30, 1996.
She is survived by her daughter, Manda (and husband Howie) Fuiten of Lincoln; one grandson, Howie Fuiten Jr. of Lincoln; and one sister, Frances Kendrick of Lincoln.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Freddie McGee; three brothers, Emil Verban, Matthew Verban and Steve Verban; and one sister, Katherine Verban.
She was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Lincoln.
