Mary M. (Mullen) Burkhardt, was the daughter of Thomas Gideon Mullen and Ada Arvilla Jeffery, both born in Randolph Co., IN. She married Norman Paul Burkhardt 17 Feb. 1930 in Randolph Co., IN. and had two children.

OBITUARY:
"Winchester - Mrs. Mary M.Burkhardt, 48, 238 E. North St., died 24 Oct 1961 at Bell Hospital in Muncie. She had ben a resident of Randolph Co. most of her life, and was a former employee of the county Agricultural Stabilization Committee and the Shopwell Store here. Mrs. Burkhardt had been a member of the Winchester Congregational Church.

Mrs. Burkhardt is survived by her husband, Norman P. Burkhardt; a son, Allan Burkhardt, Dayton, OH; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Huber, Greenville, OH; her mother, Mrs. V. F. Needler, Ridgeville; two sisters, Mrs. Allen Hale and Mrs. Elmer Mack both of Winchester, and four grandchildren. Her funeral was in Winchester with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery."
