Soviet physician, academician of the USSR (1945). In 1899 he graduated from the St. Petersburg Military Medical Academy. Since 1919 Professor of the Petrograd Institute for Advanced Medical Studies, since 1922 head of Therapy Clinic of the 1st Leningrad Medical Institute (30 in 1928 rector of the Institute). The scientific legacy of lang and his school works cover almost all sections of Internal Medicine (Pulmonary Medicine, Hepatology and others) led the all functional direction in Soviet hematology. The main focus on the works of Lang was cardiology.
