Obituary

Walter Leo Brown, 77 died November 28, 1991, at his home in Great Bend.

He was born December 2, 1913, at Brownell, the son of George William and Dora Maud Everhart Brown. A resident of Great Bend since 1981, moving from McCracken, he was a retired farmer and rancher.

He was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Great Bend.

On February 14, 1942, he married Laurine Schweitzer at McCracken. She survives.

Other survivors include: four sons, Walter Duane and Tim E., both of Leavenworth, Jim L., Loveland, Colo., and Kent C., Wichita; two daughters, Judy M. Schwindt, LaCrosse, and Lori L. Crane, Sterling, Colo.; a sister, Pearl Craig, Bazine; 15 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Funeral service was November 30 at the Assembly of God Church, Great Bend, with the Rev. David Hartsell presiding. Burial in the Great Bend Cemetery. Arrangements by the Bryant Christins Funeral Home, Great Bend.

Memorials may be sent to the Serenity Hospice in care of the funeral home.
