Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28 at Miratsky-Easton Funeral Chapel for Audrey Margaret (Rimbey) Christensen, 90, who died Thursday, Aug. 22 at the Powell Nursing Home.


She was born Oct. 14, 1911, in Morrison, Okla., to Jess and Bertha Rimbey, one of five children. She moved to Wyoming in 1918 and attended school in Powell.

She married Arthur Nels Christensen on Feb. 7, 1931, in Red Lodge, Mont. They homesteaded on West Willwood, south of Powell, and had four sons.

She moved to the Powell Nursing Home in 1999.

She is survived by three sons, Donald L. Christensen of Powell, Edward L. Christensen and wife Joan of Santa Paula, Calif., and Rodney D. Christensen of Casper; a sister, Beula Conner of Powell; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Art; infant son Wesley L. Christensen; brothers Clarence and Clyde Rimbey; and sister Cecil Adamson.

Pallbearers at the funeral will be Winston Churchill, LaVern Johnson, Duane Edmonds, Glen Myers, Don Gillett and Neil Harrison. She will be deeply missed.
