wife of Randolph D. Harris
The Weekly Intelligencer, April 06, 1901
Lexington, Mo.

Died, at her home in Kansas City, Sunday, March 31st. Mrs. Priscilla Harris, aged 79 years.

She was the daughter of the late Capt. Henry Wallace, and was born in Woodford county, Ky., May 21st, 1822. In 1839 she was married to Randolph Dieujueld Harris. They moved to Missouri in 1858 and settled on a farm near Wellington, Lafayette county. They raised a family of ten children, seven of whom survive their parents, Mr. Harris having died in 1875. Mrs. Harris also leaves one sister, Mrs. Doris W. Carter, and two brothers, Mesers, H.C. and C.D. Wallace to mourn her loss.

Mrs. Harris united with the Presbyterian church when quite young. She loved the church and was a regular attendant at the services until failing health prevented her going. She raised her children in the fear of the Lord. They will ever remember her wise counsel and Christian example.

"One less on earth!"
Its pain, its sorrow and its toil to share;
One less the pilgrim's daily cross to hear;
One more the crown of ransomed soul to wear,
At home in heaven.
"One more in heaven!"
Another thought to brighten cloudy days,
Another theme for thankfulness and praise
Another link on high our souls to raise
To home in Heaven!
"Once more at home--
That home where separation can not be,
That home where none are missed eternally,
Lord, Jesus, rant us all a place with
At home in Heaven!"
