IDA MAY FINNELL-ARNOLD was born on 20 August 1852 in Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky to Gen. John W. Finnell and Elizabeth "Eliza" S. Tureman-Finnell.

Ida first married Frank W. Gray on 6 October 1875 in Kenton County, Kentucky, and they had ONE son before her husband passed away:

Howard F. Gray (1877-?).

Ida's second marriage was to Rev. Joseph Walton Arnold circa 1888, and they had THREE children that are known of:

Virginia M. Arnold (1889-1980),
Harry B. Arnold (1893-?), and
Nellie S. Arnold (1896-1964).

Ida passed away on 26 October 1964 in Georgetown, Scott County, Kentucky, and she was laid to rest at Georgetown Cemetery.
