Funeral services were held late last week for Mrs. Christina Hedrick

Born in Rockingham County, Virginia, on October 27, 1855, Mrs. Hedrick was a daughter of Tobias and Elizabeth Harper Raines.

While still in her girlhood she moved with her family to Pendleton County where she lived the greater part of her life, the family moving only a few years ago to Red Creek, near Laneville.

Following her husband's death about five years ago she had lived with various members of the family, spending much of her time in Elkins, where two of her daughters live.

Surviving her are the following sons and daughters, Thaddeus Hedrick, of Bath, Maine, Dow Hedrick, of Rt 3 Elkins, Mrs. Seth Adams, of Ridgeley, W.Va., Mrs. Blaine Harper and Mrs. Harley Kesling, of this city. Two sisters, Mrs. John Thompson, of Riverton and Mrs. William Vandevander, of Harman, also survive.

Funeral services were conducted at the Kesling residence by the Rev. F.J. Westfall, pastor of the First M.E. Church in this city, interment being in the Bethlehem cemetery at Laneville.
