ARNOLD, LEON MELVIN died at 1:10 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 1982, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 71, a native and resident of Denham Springs. He was retired from Crown-Zellerbach. Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, Monday from 8 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Gerald Martin. Burial in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery. Survived by his wife, Mrs. Oma Covington Arnold, Denham Springs; three daughters, Mrs. Frances Jorday, Miss Betty Lee Arnold and Melvine Miley, all of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Rackley, Baton Rouge, and Juanita Varnado, Denham Springs; four brothers, Lawrence "Bo" Arnold, Denham Springs, Charles "Jack" Arnold, Baton Rouge, Alton "Mutt" Arnold, Denham Springs, and Rudolph Arnold, Baton Rouge; three grandchildren, Bryan and Stacey Miley and Gordon Jordan. Pallbearers are Gerald Gaudin, Sam Wild, Alvin Ott, Veto Yoches, Butch Varnado and Bill Eberhardt. He was a member of Amite Baptist Church.
