Mrs. Maebud M. Rakestraw, 57, wife of C. B. Rakestraw of Leaksville, died Wednesday at Tri-City Hospital, where she had been a patient for two weeks.
She had been in ill health about one year.
A native of Rockingham County, she had lived in this community her entire life.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 4 p.m. at the First Christian Church by Dr. Roy O. Respess.
Burial will follow in Lawson Cemetery.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Eldred Winn and Mrs. William Hopper of Leaksville; four sisters, Mrs. Tommy Patterson and Mrs. Robert Joyce of Leaksville, Mrs. George Farr Sr. of Easthampton, Mass., and Mrs. Marvin Moor of Salem, Va.; three brothers, Albert, Grissom and Clarence Manley, all of Leaksville; and two grandchildren.
