Obit from the Cameron Herald Feb 4, 1926--Joe McQueen, who lived alone near Sharpe, was found dead beside the highway
near his home Tuesday morning. The physician pronounced his
death due to natural causes. His condition indicated that he had probably been dead for several hours before he was
found. Friends prepared his body for burial. His funeral
was held from the Lilac Baptist church by Rev. Rice with
interment in the Lilac Cemetery. Mr McQueen is survived by
four brothers who live in Sharpe, Caldwell, Belton and Amarillo and one sister, Mrs M Moody of Cameron.
