He was born February 22, 1916 in Bertrand, Nebraska. Norris enlisted in the Army in 1942 and served until 1945. He worked at the family dairy in Nebraska until he moved to Richvale in 1947, where he farmed rice. He was a member of the Oroville VFW Post 1747 for over 40 years. For the last 18 years he lived in the oldest house in Richvale, built in 1854.
Norris was known as "The Accordian Man" and played at several convalescent homes and at the Peg Taylor Center for 23 years in Chico. Last year he completed a 5k in his wheel chair at the Poppy Walk for the Peg Taylor Center.
He is survived by his son, Norris Eugene Anderson of Biggs; daughter, Dianne E. Anderson of Richvale; grandchildren, Erik, Jennifer, Matt, and Cheyenne; great-grandchildren, Canon, Seth, Ronin, Atticus and Levi. He was met on the other side by his loving wife, Elizabeth; his mother, Hulda; father, Oscar; sister, Myla and cousin, Dell for a joyous family reunion in Heaven.
