Obituary

"Milton Kitchel died at the home of his grandson, Charles Kitchel, at 1174 Chehalis avenue, Chehalis at 11:30 pm, April 29, 1914, age 83 years. Mr. Kitchel was born in Wisconsin (sic) November 25, 1831. He came to Chehalis 13 years ago last September from Roseau County, Minn. His wife died two years ago. Mr. Kitchel had been failing for the past two years, but never became bedfast. He worked all day last Monday with his grandson and spoke of not having felt so well in two years. He went to sleep Tuesday and could not be awakened, and died the evening of that day. Deceased leaves five sons and one daughter: Joshua Kitchel, Jas. B. Kitchel, Francis Kitchel, and Chas. Kitchel, all of Chehalis, Henry Kitchel of Illinois, and Miss Jane Kitchel of Chehalis. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery and services in the Baptist church, but no date could be obtained before going to press. L.J. Sticklin has charge of the remains."
